Harry Schaare
Harry Schaare (May 23, 1922 – April 9, 2008) was born in Jamaica, New York City and studied architecture at New York University and graduated from Pratt Institute in 1947. He was a pilot with the United States Army Air Forces during World War II. In 1947 he graduated from Pratt Institute and has since traveled around the world as artist for the U.S. Air Force. Over twenty five of his artworks are in the United States Air Force art collection. Schaare created illustrations for Boys Life, Sports Illustrated, Reader's Digest, Aviation Week and several other magazines as well as a broad array of book covers in a wide variety of genres.
